System Requirements
The following topic describes the system requirements needed by Telerik UI for WPF.
Supported Operating Systems
Telerik UI for WPF can be installed on any operating system that supports .NET 4.6.2 and above. The following list shows some of the supported OS.
- Windows 11
- Windows 10
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 7 SP1
- Windows Server 2008 SP2+

Development Environment
In order to develop applications with Telerik UI for WPF you need to have installed the following development tools:
Microsoft Visual Studio 2015/2017/2019/2022

.NET Framework. The following versions are supported:
- .NET 4.6.2 to .NET 4.8
- .NET 6

As of 2024 Q4 (November), we will deprecate the Telerik dlls built against .NET 7. This decision is rooted in our dedication to align with Microsoft’s recommended framework versions so that our products leverage the latest advancements in technology, security, and performance.
SQL Server 2008 Express (optional). Download the latest version from here.
We can no longer claim a dedicated support for XBAP applications. This is due to the fact that, since Internet Explorer 9, XBAP is disabled by default. We strongly recommend using ClickOnce deployment instead. With this in mind, please note that some of the information in this article may be outdated. Please contact our support team if you have an inquiry regarding the support for a given control.
