Press Key

The Press Key feature allows you to send any specific key press towards the automated application in test run-time.

The article demonstrates how to add this type of step into the test.

Choose the Press Key option from the Step Builder and click on the Add Step button in the lower right corner of the pane.

There are few notable properties of the step:

• Key - defines the key to press, choose an option from the dropdown.
• Shift - defines if Shift key is pressed when sending the key press.
• Alt - defines if Alt key is pressed when sending the key press.
• Control - defines if Control key is pressed when sending the key press.
