Connect to Application

The Connect to Application feature allows you to connect the test recording and execution process to an already started desktop application.

This article demonstrates how to add this type of step into the test.

Choose the Connect to Application option from the Step Builder and click on the Add Step button in the lower right corner of the pane.

There are few notable properties of the step:

Process Name - (required) defines the process to connect to.
Process Index - (optional) defines the index of the application process.
Set Focus - sets focus on the application when launched.
Auto Close - closes the application process when test completes.
