Creating a New ThemeBuilder Project
The ThemeBuilder application allows you to create two main types of projects: blank projects and projects that use Kendo themes.
When you use a Kendo theme, you can customize it and see your changes applied in real-time to the appearance of the Telerik and Kendo UI components in ThemeBuilder. On the other hand, a blank project allows you to develop a theme for your own custom components from the ground up.
Creating Kendo Projects
To create a project using on of the Telerik and Kendo UI themes:
Navigate to the ThemeBuilder app.
Enter the credentials for your Telerik account and log in.
Click the Create New Project button.
Select the Start from Kendo Theme tab.
Enter a name for the project.
Select the Project Icons type (SVG or Font icons) and the desired theme version.
Choose which theme to use (Default, Bootstrap, Material, Fluent, or Classic)—this applies the theme-specific styles to the UI components in ThemeBuilder.
Finally, click Create New Project.
Creating Blank Projects
To create a new blank ThemeBuilder project:
Navigate to the ThemeBuilder app.
Enter the credentials for your Telerik account and log in.
Click the Create New Project button.
Select the Start from scratch tab.
Enter a name for your project and then select Blank or Sample. Unlike the blank project type, the sample project contains pre-built components and styles that will help you understand the basic ThemeBuilder concepts.
Finally, click Create New Project.
