You can get the extention:
from the Visual Studio Marketplace
by opening the Extensions tab in Visual Studio Code, then searching for Telerik UI for Blazor Template Wizard and clicking Install
Our VS Code extension is not working with VS Code versions 1.53 or later because of some breaking changes. Please use VS Code version 1.52 until we resolve these issues.
To create a Telerik-enabled Blazor project:
Pin Windows/Linux or
Pon Mac to open VSCode's extension launcher
Telerik UI for Blazor Template Wizard: Launchand press
Enterto launch the extension
The wizard will now guide you through the project creation steps:
choose a project name and location,
the type of project (WASM or Server-side) and your Telerik license (trial or commercial, depending on what you have),
add some sample pages to get you started (a grid with CRUD operations form a service, a form, charts),
choose a Theme.
When you open the project, to run it:
Open the Terminal and navigate to the
Serverproject folder. For a server project this is the folder with the project name, for a WASM project it will be the
dotnet runand navigate your browser to the link you see in the console output.
You now have a Blazor SPA app running!
If the extension does not work right (missing pages, does not start, etc.), you can try the following to clean up cache files and get it working again:
- Uninstall the extension from VS Code.
- Go to the extensions templates cache folder and delete the
KendoTfolders - they are where caches for the Telerik extensions are kept:
- on Windows, open
- on Mac, open
- on Windows, open
- Install the extension again.
