TextAreaBuilder

Methods

Cols(System.Double)

The visible width of the text control, in average character widths.

Parameters

value - System.Double

The value that configures the cols.

Example


            @(Html.Kendo().TextArea()
                    .Name("TextArea")
                    .Cols(24)
            )

Enable(System.Boolean)

If set to false, the component will be disabled and will not allow user input. The component is enabled by default and allows user input.

Parameters

value - System.Boolean

The value that configures the enable.

Example


            @(Html.Kendo().TextArea()
                    .Name("TextArea")
                    .Enable(true)
            )

Label(System.Action)

Adds a label before the textarea. If the textarea has no id attribute, a generated id will be assigned. The string and the function parameters are setting the inner HTML of the label.

Parameters

configurator - System.Action<TextAreaLabelSettingsBuilder>

The action that configures the label.

            @(Html.Kendo().TextArea()
                    .Name("TextArea")
                    .Label(l => {
                        l.Floating(true);

MaxLength(System.Double)

The maximum number of characters that the user can enter.

Parameters

value - System.Double

The value that configures the maxlength.

Placeholder(System.String)

The hint displayed by the component when it is empty. Not set by default.

Parameters

The value that configures the placeholder.

            )

Readonly(System.Boolean)

If set to true, the component will be readonly and will not allow user input. The component is not readonly by default and allows user input.

value - System.Boolean

The value that configures the readonly.

                    .Readonly(true)

Resizable(System.String)

Defines if (and how) the component is resizable by the user.Can also be set to the following string values: "none" - default value. The user cannot resize the component.; "both" - the user can resize both the height and width of the component.; "horizontal" - the user can resize the width of the component. or "vertical" - the user can resize the height of the component..

Rows(System.Double)

The number of visible text lines for the control.

Sets the size of the component.

Rounded(Kendo.Mvc.UI.Rounded)

Sets a value controlling the border radius.

FillMode(Kendo.Mvc.UI.FillMode)

Sets a value controlling how the color is applied.

Overflow(Kendo.Mvc.UI.TextAreaOverflow)

Defines how the content overflow should be handled

Suppress initialization script rendering. Note that this options should be used in conjunction with Kendo.Mvc.UI.Fluent.WidgetFactory.DeferredScripts(System.Boolean)
