Note: The R2 2014 release of Test Studio is the last official release that supports Microsoft Windows XP. Please note that Test Studio Runtime Edition will continue to be fully supported on systems running Windows XP.

Test Studio VS plugin

  • IDE: Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2012, Visual Studio 2010 Professional, or Visual Studio Team Edition
    • Ultimate, Premium, and Professional editions allow extensions/plugins and are compatible
    • You must run Visual Studio as Administrator

 

 

Note: Test Studio supports Visual Studio 2013 starting with version 2014.1.410 !

Data Binding

  • Microsoft Office installation or AccessDatabaseEngine 2008 or above (x86 redistributable)

Storage Service

  • Local System account must have the DBCreator server-level role in SQL.

Test Scheduling

  • SQL Server or SQL Express (2005, 2008, or 2012) installed on the Scheduling Server
  • (2013 R1) TFS Client installed on an Execution Server if checking out projects from TFS

Load Testing

  • Windows Vista or above to run Load Tests (as Host, Controller, Reporter, or Agent)
       
  • SQL Server or SQL Express (2008 or 2010) installed on Reporter

Source Control
