Telerik Reporting can be installed via:
Telerik Control Panel: Telerik Reporting can be downloaded via Telerik Control Panel. The option to download and install the Control Panel is front and center on the page, after logging into your Telerik account. The Panel uses the product MSI file.
Telerik Reporting Nuget packages: Telerik Reporting libraries for .NET Core projects are available through Telerik Nuget private feed - https://nuget.telerik.com/nuget. How to add a NuGet feed is explained in https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/docs/package/nuget/consume. You will need to your Telerik account credentials for this operation. Telerik Nuget Packages include the Reporting Engine and implementation of the , where the packages can be used with standard .NET 4.6.1 framework. The packages do not include design-time support.
MSI file: The MSI files are intended for easy and automatic installation of the product on your computer to a folder named Telerik in your Program Files, automatically creating the necessary virtual folders and projects. The MSI file provides all files required for developing solutions with Telerik Reporting.
To install Telerik Reporting on your machine using the msi installer follow the instructions below:
Log into your Telerik account and click on the "Products & Subscriptions" options from the top menu.
In the dropdown that appears choose from your purchased products or trial downloads Telerik Reporting, and click on it. If you have purchased a collection you would need to click on it and the downloads page will show all purchased products, where you can select Telerik Reporting. If you have downloaded a Trial version of Telerik products, click on Trials in "Products & Subscriptions" menu, and the downloads page will list all available trial products.
Click on Download Installer and other resources (the Download link next to the suite if you are a trial user). You need to choose Telerik Reporting suite if you have purchased the collection and click its Browse all product files button.
Download the Automatic installation (MSI) file.
Once the download completes, run the Telerik_Reporting_R2 2017.msi and follow the instructions.
Internal builds can be found also in your Telerik account, under "Downloads", then "Latest Internal Build". If you need an older internal build, the loaded page will let you select Telerik Reporting and a major version of the product to which internal builds belong.
The 'Downloads' page lists previously downloaded products. If you are missing a product or its version, please contact our Sales team through the support ticketing system by submitting a 'General feedback' thread.
After executing the msi file you should see the following window prompting the user to read and accept the License Agreement:
Next you are provided with a customization window giving you ability to choose among several features, which are self explanatory. What you should note here is the Examples feature. If we do not find a local SQL Server instance on your machine or if your SQL Browser service is stopped the examples will be installed but the application configuration files will not have a valid connection strings. Still you can find working demos on our demos page.
If you want to setup the examples and the used connection string click Examples Setup. Supported are any local SQL Server 2005+ instances.
AdventureWorks can be installed manually by running the SQL script located by default under [InstallDir]/Examples/Data/AdventureWorks OLTP.
If Examples Setup is clicked in the previous step, you can choose your Database Server and the authentication used to connect. The Wizard should detect all running instances and list them in the input field.
The Installer Wizard expects running SQL Server Browser Service in order to discover local running SQL Server instances.
The Wizard will install Telerik Reporting in the following folder unless you specify otherwise: C:\Program Files\Telerik\Reporting R2 2017 on 32 bit machines
C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\Reporting R2 2017 on 64 bit machines
