Getting Started

This guide demonstrates how to make your first steps with Telerik XR Interactions and create your first scene by using the assets in the package.

Before you start, make sure that you have already installed Telerik XR Interactions. You can find the detailed installation steps in the Installation article.

To set up your own scene by using Telerik XR Interactions:

  1. Delete the default scene camera.

  2. If you do not have the TextMesh Pro folder under your project Assets folder you should to go to Unity Editor toolbar and choose Window/TextMeshPro/Import TMP Essential Resources.

  3. Then drag and drop the XR Interactions Rig prefab.

  4. Prepare your scene for running an XR device. For instance, for Oculus Quest or Oculus Rift, you must install the Oculus XR plugin from the Project Settings XR Plug-in Management section.

  5. Hit the play button and notice that you have a skinned mesh hand. If you deploy the app to Oculus Quest, you will be able to automatically switch between hand tracking and controllers.
