Manage the Account Seats

Every subscription tier comes with a predefined number of account seats that you and your developers can take up. As your development team grows, you might need additional account seats. If you reach or exceed the account seats quota in your account, you can free or buy new account seats.

Each account member consumes an account seat for the subscription. By default, the Account Owner is also an Administrator and takes an account seat. If the Account owner does not hold an active development role, any Administrator can free the seat assigned to the Account Owner and assign it to another member. This prevents the Account owner from working with the development resources of Telerik Platform but the owner can still manage the subscription and the account members.

Account seats are reusable and transferable. At any time, you can remove an account member to free an account seat. At any time, you can remove an account seat if you no longer need it.

Subscription plans might have a limitation for the maximum number of purchased account seats.

Only paid users can purchase account seats.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that you have selected Telerik Platform at https://platform.telerik.com and you have provided your login credentials at the Login to Telerik Platform page.
  • Verify that you have switched to the account for which you want to manage the subscription plan.
  • Verify that you are the Account owner.
  • If you want to purchase account seats, verify that you have upgraded your subscription plan to Telerik Platform Developer or greater.

Procedure

If your current subscription plan is Telerik Platform Enterprise, you cannot modify your subscription plan by following this procedure. You need to contact the Telerik Sales team using this form.

  • To free account seats, remove account members. For more information, see Remove Account Members and Free the Account Owner Seat.
  • To purchase account seats, follow these steps.
    1. Verify that you are on the Telerik Platform home page.
      To return to the home page, click your account name in the breadcrumb in the top left corner.
    2. In the Account bar, click Account Administration > Subscription.
    3. In the left side bar, click Seats.
      If you cannot locate the Seats option, you need to purchase or renew your subscription first.
    4. Click Buy seats.
    5. Set the new number of account seats that you want to have and click Proceed to checkout.
    6. Review the pricing information.
    7. Review the license agreement for the product and select I have read and agreed to the License Agreement(s) listed above.
    8. Click Checkout.
    9. Enter your billing and license holder details and click Proceed to payment.
    10. Fill in your payment information and click Process order.
    11. Return to Telerik Platform and refresh your browser.
