AppBuilder 3.5.2 Release Notes

Product version: AppBuilder 3.5.2

Released: October 20, 2016

AppBuilder 3.5.2 is a maintenance release. For a list of the new features and updates introduced in the earlier major release, AppBuilder 3.5, see AppBuilder 3.5 Release Notes.

This release resolves the following issues.

  • In the extension for Visual Studio and the classic Windows desktop client, you cannot run your apps in the native iOS Simulator, if the remote macOS machine has Xcode 7 or Xcode 8 installed. On the macOS machine, the command-line interface returns the following error message: Unable to find device ipad. The valid device names are iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Retina, iPad Air, iPad Air 2..

  • In the extension for Visual Studio, when you set Release build configuration for your application package, sometimes AppBuilder includes the *.debug.* files instead of the *.release.* files.

  • In the in-browser client, configuration files lose focus several seconds after you open them.

  • You cannot run Apache Cordova 5.0.0 or 5.2.0 apps with enabled Telerik AppManager LiveSync in the device simulator. The simulator remains blank and the following error message appears in the console: Uncaught Error: Module com.telerik.LivePatch.appManagerLiveSync does not exist..

  • On devices running iOS earlier than 9, Android earlier than 4.3, or Windows Phone earlier than 10, the Kendo UI Drawer template shows every element in the NavBar on a new line.

  • If you have enabled the iCloud entitlement, you cannot publish your app to the App Store. The operation returns the following error message: "ERROR ITMS-90211: "Invalid Code Signing Entitlements. The signature for your app bundle contains entitlement values that are not supported. For the entitlement, the value must start with the prefix provided by Apple in the provisioning profile.
