Import Your Existing Cryptographic Identity in AppBuilder

IDE

AppBuilder can code sign your iOS apps for you so that you can publish them in the App Store or run them on iOS devices. To build and code sign your apps with AppBuilder, you need to create a cryptographic identity by providing a certificate signed by Apple. If you already have a cryptographic identity that you want to use, you can import it in AppBuilder.

For every provisioning profile, you must have a matching cryptographic identity. A cryptographic identity matches a provisioning profile, if both include the same Apple-signed certificate.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that you have exported your cryptographic identity as a P12 file.
  • Verify that your preferred AppBuilder client is running and you are logged in.
  • Verify that you have opened the code for your app in AppBuilder.

Procedure

In-Browser

  1. Click the cogwheel icon and select Options.
  2. Select iOSCryptographic Identities.
  3. Click Import.
  4. Browse to the location where the P12 file for your cryptographic identity is stored, select it and confirm the upload.
  5. Provide the password for the cryptographic identity and click OK.

A new cryptographic identity is added to the list. You can now use it to code sign your iOS apps during the build process in AppBuilder.
