Migrating the DateTimePicker Extension

To migrate the Telerik UI DateTimePicker Extension for ASP.NET MVC to Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC, use the available and updated API.

  • The following example demonstrates the change when setting the min date.

        Html.Telerik().Calendar().Name("Calendar").MinDate(DateTime.Now)

        Html.Kendo().Calendar().Name("Calendar").Min(DateTime.Now)

  • The following example demonstrates the change when setting the max date.

        Html.Telerik().Calendar().Name("Calendar").MaxDate(DateTime.Now)

        Html.Kendo().Calendar().Name("Calendar").Max(DateTime.Now)

  • The following example demonstrates the change when setting the footer.

        Html.Telerik().Calendar().Name("Calendar").TodayButton(“d”)

        Html.Kendo().Calendar().Name("Calendar").Footer(“#= kendo.toString(data, ‘MM/dd/yyyy’)”)

  • The StartTime and EndTime configuration options are not implemented in Kendo UI.

  • The following example demonstrates the change when using the disable event.

        var datePicker = $("#DatePicker").data("tDateTimePicker");
        datePicker.disable();

        var datePicker = $("#datepicker").data("kendoDateTimePicker");
        datePicker.enable(false);
