Usually grouping is used to group the data together by criteria. Instead, use SubReports to allow different sets of data within a single report. Using the SubReport ToolBox item you can embed several different reports in one report. Each report can use a different data source and you can arrange your “master” report to look exactly the same way as a report with groups. To use SubReport components:
- Create a "master" report that will act as a container for the other reports.
- Create reports that will be contained within the master report. Each report can have a different datasource and layout defined.
- Add SubReport items from the ToolBox to the "master" report detail section for each Report item created in step 2.
- Select the Report property from the drop down list for each SubReport.
- Rebuild the project.
