Testing a Data Connector

Testing a Data Connector

The operation of testing Data Connectors through the .NET SDK allows you to test the connection between the Data Connector and your data store.

The test operation comes in two flavors:

For Existing Data Connectors

This endpoint allows you to check if an existing Data Connector can connect to the data store that it is set up for.

account.WorkWith().Application("your-app-id").DataLink(id).TestConnection().ExecuteSync();

For New Data Connectors

This endpoint accepts the same data as the one for creating Data Connectors (Name is not required), but only tests whether the creation would be successful, without actually creating a Data Connector.

account.WorkWith().Application("your-app-id").DataLinks().TestConnection(
    "http://datalinkserver.com:9090",
    DataLinkType.MSSQL,
    "Server=myServerAddress;Database=myDB;User Id=myUsername;Password=myPassword;").ExecuteSync();
