Creating a Data Connector

Creating a Data Connector

The operation for creating Data Connectors through the .NET SDK allows you to connect to your existing data stores programmatically.

You can create Data Connectors only to relational databases. Connecting to Salesforce is not supported by the .NET SDK.

After defining a Data Connector in your Telerik Platform app, you can define content types that expose data from the remote data store.

The following example shows how to create a data connector to a relational database. The list of properties that you need to include in the body is presented in Data Connectors Object Fields Reference.

DataLink dataLink = new DataLink
{
    Url = "http://datalinkserver.com:9090",
    Name = "myDbDataLink",
    Type = DataLinkType.MSSQL,
    ConnectionString =
    "Server=myServerAddress;Database=myDB;User Id=myUsername;Password=myPassword;"
};

account.WorkWith().Application("your-app-id").DataLinks().Create(dataLink).ExecuteSync();

Creation of multiple Data Connectors simultaneously is not supported.
