Email Settings

This article explains in detail the email configuration options available for AppManager.

Email Template Settings

You can change the default email addresses used by AppManager to send emails and receive replies. Also, you can change the name of the sender to replace Telerik AppManager. To make such changes:

  1. Click Settings -> Email Settings from the left-side menu under App Distribution.
  2. Modify one or more of the following fields:
    • Default from name: the name of the sender that will be displayed in all emails sent by AppManager to your users.
    • Default from email: the email address from which AppManager sends emails to your users.
    • Default reply to email: the email address that will receive replies if a user decides to reply to one of the automated emails sent by AppManager.
  3. Click Save.

The values you input in these fields are available in the data context of all email templates. You can use them by declaring the following placeholders in the email template: {{DefaultFromName}}, {{DefaultFromEmail}} and {{DefaultReplyToEmail}}.

Administrator Notification Settings

By default, AppManager notifies the administrator for certain events that require administrator action. You can change the email address of the recipient or turn these notifications off.

To turn off email notifications for newly registered iOS devices, that are not yet added in your imported provisioning profiles, follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings -> Email Settings.
  2. Uncheck Notify admin for new iOS devices not provisioned in any apps.
  3. Click Save.

To change the email address that will receive the email notifications:

  1. Click Settings -> Email Settings.
  2. Type in a new address in the Administrator email field.
  3. Click Save.
