On iOS 8.x devices in the Platform companion app, tapping a button might not work at first.
The Platform companion app is based on Kendo UI. A known issue in Kendo UI prevents button events from triggering as expected on iOS 8.x devices.
Workaround: Tap the button until the button event fires and the app works as expected.
After logging in the Platform companion app, you might see an empty app list or the app list might show unexpected apps.
The Platform companion app logs you in the first available account which might not be your currently active account.
Workaround: Manually switch the account you are logged into.
- On the Apps screen, tap the user icon in the top right corner.
- Select the account that you want to use and wait for the operation to complete.
- Tap Done.
In the developer app for Windows Phone, you cannot test Kendo UI Mobile native scrolling.
Workaround: Build and deploy your app as an application package.
The Cordova developer app for Android becomes unresponsive and closes when you test QR code encoding.
Workaround: To test QR code encoding, build and deploy your app as an application package.
In the Cordova developer app for Android, you cannot share images to Facebook with the SocialSharing plugin.
Cordova developer app does not clear its file cache automatically on iOS.
Workaround: You can empty the Cordova developer app cache in iTunes:
- Go to your device in iTunes.
- Go to Apps.
- In File Sharing, select Cordova developer app.
- You can manage files in the Documents list.
This issue might cause navigational problems such as:
- Deleting the currently opened page does not navigate to
- Navigating to a page (e.g. -
page.html) and opening a different app does not navigate to
Screen rotation lock is not preserved when deploying on Cordova developer app.
On iOS devices, sometimes you cannot LiveSync your changes over the air or via cable to the NativeScript developer app.
When you attempt to perform a LiveSync operation, the NativeScript developer app needs to restart. To complete this, the developer app relies on Safari or the Cordova developer app, if installed. If the Cordova developer app is not installed on your device, sometimes the NativeScript developer app might not be able to restart using Safari.
Workaround: Install the Cordova developer app on your device.
Sometimes, the NativeScript developer app for Android becomes unresponsive and needs to close after the synchronization of changes completes.
Workaround: Restart the developer app.
Sometimes, you cannot LiveSync changes to the NativeScript developer app for Android over cable.
Workaround: Verify that the time and date on the mobile device and your computer match.
Screen rotation lock is not preserved when deploying on NativeScript developer app.
