AppBuilder 2.9.1 Release Notes

AppBuilder 2.9.1 is a maintenance release. For a list of the new features and updates introduced in the earlier major release, AppBuilder 2.9, see AppBuilder 2.9 Release Notes.

This release resolves the following issues in the in-browser client.

  • When your run your Apache Cordova 3.8.0 app on an Android device in the device simulator, the in-browser client shows a gap_init:2 prompt.
  • The developer tools of your browser log show unnecessary information in the console log of the device simulator.
  • Multiple caching issues.

This release resolves the following issues in the classic Windows desktop client.

  • When you select PublishApp Stores, the Publish wizard might not appear for NativeScript apps.
  • If you have pinned three or more apps to the dashboard, the classic Windows desktop client cannot load your apps, becomes unresponsive and needs to close.
  • You cannot work with the Data Navigator.
  • When you modify your CSS code in the device simulator while debugging, AppBuilder saves the changes to the actual CSS files. This causes AppBuilder to refresh your app in the device simulator and on connected devices, if any.

This release resolves the following issues in the extension for Visual Studio.

  • You cannot work with the Data Navigator.

This release resolves the following issues in the command-line interface.

  • You cannot run appbuilder create screenbuilder with the --path option. The operation cannot complete and the following error is shown: ENOENT No bower.json present.
  • When you attempt to build a NativeScript app, based on a TypeScript template, multiple Duplicate identifier errors are shown.
  • Sometimes, command validation does not work properly.
  • When you run appbuilder update-kendoui in the command-line interface, the operation cannot complete and the following error message appears: Maximum call stack size exceeded.
  • For some consoles, the command-line interface does not display the console help properly.
  • When you build for iOS, the command-line interface shows incorrect information about the used provisioning profile.
  • appbuilder init does not recognize and initialize NativeScript apps properly.
  • Sometimes, the device simulator in the command-line interface cannot start on Windows systems.
  • Sometimes, when you run sudo appbuilder create <App Name>, the operation cannot complete and an EACCESS error appears in the log.
  • When you modify your CSS code in the device simulator while debugging on a Windows system, AppBuilder saves the changes to the actual CSS files. This causes AppBuilder to refresh your app in the device simulator and on connected devices, if any.
  • You cannot run appbuilder emulate ios without setting a certificate and a provisioning profile for the build.
  • When you attempt to publish an iOS app which contains a shell script, an unclear ECONNREFUSED error message appears.

This release resolves the following general issues in AppBuilder.

  • When you build for Windows Phone 8.1, the following error message might appear in the log: Error: File content does not conform to specified schema. The 'Version' attribute is invalid - The value 'X' is invalid according to its datatype 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/appx/2010/manifest:ST_VersionQuad' - The Pattern constraint failed.
  • On Android devices, you cannot download Telerik AppManager LiveSync updates.
    When you attempt to download the update, the following error message appears: W/System.err(25957): javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: No peer certificate.
  • You cannot build your app if it contains the SQLite plugin added from the Telerik Verified Plugins Marketplace.
  • You can enable the AppManager LiveSync plugin in the Properties even though you cannot use it to create updates for your published apps.
