Updates and Improvements in AppBuilder 2.11.3

This release introduces the following major update.

Warning When you update your app to target NativeScript 1.2.3, you might experience multiple issues due to breaking changes in the APIs. For more information about the major changes in NativeScript 1.2.3, see Changelog for the cross-platform modules, Changelog for the iOS runtime and Changelog for the Android runtime.

Notable Resolved Issues in AppBuilder 2.11.3

Functional Area Notable Resolved Issues
General
  • When you attempt to open an app which does not contain an .abproject file, AppBuilder shows an internal server error.
Mobile Devices and Platforms
  • When you deploy a NativeScript 1.1.2 app developed with TypeScript over a NativeScript 0.10.0 app in the NativeScript developer app, the companion app shows an exception message.
  • Apps based on the Progress Data Service template might become unresponsive and might need to close when you interact with the List tab on iOS devices or in the companion app for iOS.
  • You cannot build your app for iOS, if you have two provisioning profiles of the same type that match the same application identifier and certificate but one of them is expired. AppBuilder cannot pick the correct valid provisioning profile.
In-Browser Client
  • The device simulator prompts you for authentication, if you are not logged in the Telerik Platform.
Windows Client
  • You cannot undock the debug tools in the device simulator.
  • After you enable the SQLite plugin from the Telerik Verified Plugins Marketplace, AppBuilder does not show it as installed in the Properties dialog.
  • AppBuilder does not capture and show console.log entries for NativeScript iOS applications.
Extension for Visual Studio
  • You cannot undock the debug tools in the device simulator.
  • After you enable the SQLite plugin from the Telerik Verified Plugins Marketplace, AppBuilder does not show it as installed in the Properties dialog.
  • AppBuilder does not capture and show console.log entries for NativeScript iOS applications.
  • When you attempt to migrate between Apache Cordova versions, the might show the following error message: Non-configuration-specific file with the same name already exists in this location.
  • When you attempt to debug a NativeScript app on an Android device with the Microsoft Visual Studio built-in debug tools, the following error message might show: Log (Exception,High): node-inspector terminated unexpectedly.
  • If you close the native Android emulator or disconnect a connected Android device, the extension for Visual Studio throws an error message.
Command-Line Interface
  • You cannot undock the debug tools in the device simulator on Windows systems.
  • When you attempt to create an app with Screen Builder, the command-line interface might show the following error message: Command <Path to unzip> failed with exit code 81.
