Notable Resolved Issues

This section contains notable resolved issues in AppBuilder.

AppBuilder In-Browser Client

This section contains notable resolved issues in the AppBuilder in-browser client.

  • AppBuilder does not set the proper values for the API keys in the AppBuilder app in the Friends App demo workspace.
  • When you toggle auto complete, AppBuilder does not show an auto complete menu.

AppBuilder Windows Client

This section contains notable resolved issues in the AppBuilder Windows client.

  • If you install both the classic Windows desktop client and the extension for Visual Studio on your system, the installation of the device simulator might become corrupted and you might no longer be able to use the debug tools in the simulator.
  • The AppBuilder Windows client does not list your valid Google Play certificates in the Publish wizard and you cannot publish your apps, if you have set a 2-digit date format in your regional settings in the Windows Control Panel.
  • You cannot develop with the AppBuilder Windows client if your account does not contain any apps.

AppBuilder extension for Visual Studio

  • If you install both the classic Windows desktop client and the extension for Visual Studio on your system, the installation of the device simulator might become corrupted and you might no longer be able to use the debug tools in the simulator.

AppBuilder Command-Line Interface

This section contains notable resolved issues in the AppBuilder package for Sublime.

  • You cannot initialize the sample apps for development with the command-line interface. When you attempt to initialize a sample app, AppBuilder shows the following error: Invalid property value:.
  • If AppBuilder cannot locate one or more of the default contents of the App_Resources\iOS folder, the device simulator does not load. AppBuilder shows the following message in the command prompt: Starting simulator... but the device simulator never starts.

AppBuilder Package for Sublime Text

This section contains notable resolved issues in the AppBuilder package for Sublime.

  • In Sublime Text 3, you cannot LiveSync changes to the device simulator on Save.

Mobile Devices and Platforms

This section contains notable resolved issues when working with mobile devices and platforms.

  • After you use the three-finger gesture to LiveSync changes to an application package on an Android device, you can no longer LiveSync changes on Save (Project LiveSync) to the device.
  • When you build and deploy your app as an APK on Android devices, you cannot LiveSync changes to CSS files with the three-finger refresh gesture.
  • You might not be able to launch your Windows Phone 8 app on device because the application package contains duplicate resources. In the WMAppManifest.xml template, file paths to image resources are defined using slashes (/). To resolve conflicts that these definitions cause, during build time, AppBuilder might duplicate some of your image resources. The resulting application package might become invalid.
