Open an Existing App for Collaboration

Select the Progress AppBuilder client you are currently using for development.

IDE

You can open and load any AppBuilder app that you or other Telerik Platform users have created, shared and configured for collaboration with you across the AppBuilder clients.

Workflow for Collaboration with Third-Party Version Control

When you develop apps in collaboration with other users, keep in mind the following workflow.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that your preferred AppBuilder client is running and you are logged in.
  • Verify that your app is configured for collaboration in the Telerik Platform. For more information about collaboration in the Telerik Platform, see Configure Your App for Collaboration.
  • Verify that version control is configured for your app. For more information about AppBuilder and third-party version control, see Using Third-Party Version Control.

Procedure

In-Browser

  1. In your browser, verify that you are logged in and you have switched to the account in which you want to develop your app.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Click the app that you want to open.
  4. In the left-hand navigation, click Code.

Universal

  1. Verify that the universal desktop client is running and you are logged in the Telerik Platform in the account in which you want to develop your application.
  2. In the Dashboard, double-click the app that you want to open and wait for the universal desktop client to load the app.

Windows

  1. Verify that the classic Windows desktop client is running and you are logged in the Telerik Platform in the account in which you want to develop your application.
  2. In the Dashboard, click My Apps.
  3. Double-click the app that you want to open and wait for the classic Windows desktop client to load the app.

Visual Studio

  1. Verify that Microsoft Visual Studio is running.
  2. In the top menu bar, click FileOpenProject/Solution.
  3. Navigate to the location where your app is stored and double-click the SLN file for your app.
  4. If prompted, log in.

CLI

  1. On your local file system, verify that you have cloned the remote repository that contains the app.
  2. In the command prompt, navigate to the directory that contains the ABPROJECT file for your app.
