To use variables, mixins, functions, operators and improved nesting when you develop your style sheets, you can write your code in LESS and compile it to CSS. To apply to your app the styles defined in the LESS files, you need to compile them to CSS and then manually reference the resulting CSS file or multiple files in your index.html.
