Select the AppBuilder client you are currently using for development.

IDE

Hybrid apps consist of JavaScript, CSS, image and HTML files. If you have added custom plugins, you can also access the XML, JAVA and Objective-C files of the plugin.

NativeScript apps consist of JavaScript, CSS, image and XML files.

To browse, review and access the app assets, you can use the built-in Project Navigator in the in-browser client, the classic Windows desktop client, the universal desktop client and the Solution Explorer in the extension for Visual Studio.

You can browse and review your Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic information and assets with the Data Navigator.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that your preferred AppBuilder client is running and you are logged in.
  • Verify that you have opened the code for your app in AppBuilder.

Procedure

In-Browser

  • To show the Project Navigator, click Project Navigator in the far top right side of the screen.
    By default, the Project Navigator is shown.
  • To expand or collapse a folder in the Project Navigator, double-click it.
  • To select a file, click it.
  • To locate the currently open and active file in the Project Navigator, press Shift+Alt+L.

Universal

  • To show the Project Navigator, click Solution in the top right corner of the code editor.
    By default, the Project Navigator is shown.
  • To expand or collapse a folder in the Project Navigator, double-click it.
  • To select a file, click it.
  • To locate the currently open and active file in the Project Navigator, press Shift+Alt+L.
  • To show the Data Navigator, click Data in the top right corner of the code editor.
  • Double-click Backend Services to expand it.
    By default, Backend Services is collapsed.
  • Double-click an app to expand it.
    First-level nodes in the Backend Services folder correspond to Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic services associated with your current login provider.
  • Double-click a content type to expand it and view its fields.
  • Navigate to your Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic resources in the cloud.

Windows

  • To show the Project Navigator, click Show Project Navigator.
    By default, the Project Navigator is shown.
  • To expand or collapse a folder in the Project Navigator, double-click it.
  • To select a file, click it.
  • To inspect the properties for an image file, select it and click the wrench icon.
  • To show the Data Navigator, click Show Data Navigator.
  • Double-click an account to expand it.
    The extension for Visual Studio lists all accounts that you can access with your Telerik Platform user and contain Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic services.
  • Double-click an app to expand it.
  • Double-click a content type to expand it and view its fields.
  • Navigate to your Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic resources in the cloud.

Visual Studio

To navigate your app assets in the extension for Visual Studio, use the Solution Explorer as you would in any other project. For more information, see Using Solution Explorer.

  • To show the Data Navigator, in the main menu bar, select AppBuilderData Navigator.
  • Double-click an account to expand it.
    The extension for Visual Studio lists all accounts that you can access with your Telerik Platform user and contain Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic services.
  • Double-click an app to expand it.
  • Double-click a content type to expand it and view its fields.
  • Navigate to your Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic resources in the cloud.

CLI

To navigate your app assets in the command-line interface, apply the approach and tools available for your current IDE.
