Show Business Logic Log

Select the AppBuilder client you are currently using for development.

IDE

Telerik Platform keeps a business logic log for your app. In this log, you can review the business logic execution for your application, including the CRUD operations performed with the content types in your app and the related before and after events. You can see when the operation was performed, if it had triggered an event, with what result and output. If you have modified the business logic (cloud code) for the content types by adding console.log() for one or more Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic events, the console output is also shown in the business logic (cloud code) log.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that your preferred AppBuilder client is running and you are logged in.
  • Verify that you have opened the code for your app in AppBuilder.
  • Verify that you have enabled Business Logic for your app.

Procedure

In-Browser

  1. In the left-hand menu of your app, click Business Logic.
  2. Click Logs.

Universal

  1. Open the Data Navigator.
  2. Expand Backend Services.
  3. Right-click your app and select Show Log.

The universal desktop client opens the Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic web portal in a new browser tab and shows the Logs page for the selected app.

Windows

  1. Open the Data Navigator.
  2. Expand your account, locate your app and right-click it.
  3. Click Show Log.

The classic Windows desktop client shows the business logic log for the selected app in the Backend tab in the Logs pane.

Visual Studio

  1. In the top menu bar, select AppBuilderData Navigator.
  2. Expand your account, locate your app and right-click it.
  3. Click Show Log.

The extension for Visual Studio opens the Data, Users, Notifications and Business Logic web portal in a new browser tab and shows the Logs page for the selected app.

CLI

  1. In your browser, open the Telerik Platform and log in.
  2. Open your app.
  3. In the left-hand menu of your app, click Business Logic.
  4. Click Logs.

Next Steps

Sort the business logic (cloud code) log or refresh it.
