IDE

AppBuilder can code sign your iOS apps for you so that you can publish them in the App Store or run them on iOS devices. To build and code sign your apps with AppBuilder, you need to provide a certificate signed by Apple. By providing your certificate, you also create a cryptographic identity in AppBuilder.

For every provisioning profile, you must have a matching cryptographic identity. A cryptographic identity matches a provisioning profile, if both include the same Apple-signed certificate.

Prerequisites

  • Verify that your certificate was created with a certificate signing request generated by AppBuilder and that this request is not already completed.
  • Download your certificate as a CER file from the iOS Dev Center.
  • Verify that your preferred AppBuilder client is running and you are logged in.
  • Verify that you have opened the code for your app in AppBuilder.

Procedure

  1. Click the cogwheel icon and select Options.
  2. Select iOSCryptographic Identities.
  3. Click Import.
  4. Browse to the location where the CER file for your certificate is stored, select it and confirm the upload.

Your certificate signing request is removed and a new cryptographic identity is added to the list. You can now use it to code sign your iOS apps during the build process in AppBuilder.
