Go To Definition command navigates you to the definition of a selected identifier. A valid identifier is a type, a method, a field, or a local variable declaration.
Partially supported: XAML (works for field identifiers, event handlers, and static resources)
Not supported: HTML

To go to definition
Position the caret over an identifier.
Press Alt+`. From the pop-up menu, choose Go To Definition.
To execute this command you can use a number of combinations:
- Point the identifier and press Ctrl+Left Mouse Button
- Point the identifier and click the Middle Mouse Button
- Press F12
