Samples Kit - Overview

This article is relevant to entity models that utilize the deprecated Visual Studio integration of Telerik Data Access. The current documentation of the Data Access framework is available here.

The Telerik Data Access Samples Kit is designed to increase your productivity and to be a demo source of what Telerik's ORM is capable of. It is an offline resource browser, and includes demos and relevant information to get started and quickly integrate Telerik Data Access in your applications. You can download the Telerik Data Access Samples Kit here.

Rich Set of Samples

The rich set of comprehensive examples included in the Samples Kit provides real-life solutions to everyday problems, for example using Telerik Data Access in N-tier scenarios. The samples are grouped by technology (ASP.NET, Silverlight, WPF, WCF, N-Tier, etc.) and can be filtered by programming language (C# or VB) and complexity (levels 100-400). Detailed information about the sample, including goals and requirements, is also included.
The samples can be run with their default settings directly from the Samples Kit. The browser will automatically check whether the needed database is installed (and will give the option to install it if it is not), will update the references and connection strings of the example, compile it, run any necessary services, and start the application. All of this in a single click. The samples can also be opened in Visual Studio for further review and adjustments. Finally, each sample can be reset to its original settings.

Samples Kit System Requirements
